The Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce will host an event to open a time capsule that was buried 25 years ago on May 7 at 10 am.
Aransas Pass residents will get a look at life in the 1980's when a once forgotten time capsule is opened.
Past Chamber Directors and City Officials came together 25 years ago to bury the time capsule with a plan to reopen it on the 25th anniversary.
The stone is located in front of the former May Allen High School and Aransas Pass Independent School Central Office Building.
Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce, CEO Rosemary Vega, explained how excited folks that contributed items to the time capsule are about the opportunity to reflect on what once was.
Once the capsule is brought out, it will then be moved to the Chamber of Commerce where the contents will be displayed.
The public is invited to attend the unveiling.
